A plain fine band with a shallow bend through the front, made to sit under an engagement ring rather than beside it. The curve is subtle enough that nobody reads it as a shaped band — they just notice that your two rings touch all the way along instead of gapping at the middle.

The band

Nesting is a matter of millimeters. Too little curve and a gap opens under the center stone; too much and the band looks strange worn alone. This one is set at the shallow end deliberately, because a shallow curve fits more engagement rings than a deep one does and still works as a standalone ring. Round wire, nothing set into it.

About the gold

Solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold, or platinum, in the color you choose — never plated, never filled. Higher karats are richer in color and softer; 14K is the usual choice for a band worn every day, 18K for one that is worn a little more carefully. Every band is stamped with its karat on the inside.

Common questions

Is this the same as the softly curved contour band?
Yes — identical ring, listed under two names in our source data, and we have kept both pages rather than quietly merging them. Same 1.7mm round profile, same curve, same weight, same price. Neither page is the better deal.

Will it nest with my engagement ring?
With a standard solitaire or a low bezel, almost certainly. With a cathedral setting or a wide halo there may be a small gap at the shoulders. Send us a photograph before ordering and we will tell you straight.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?

Is this solid gold or plated?
Solid, all the way through, in the karat you select. Nothing here is plated or filled, and the inside of the band carries the karat stamp. A solid band can be polished and resized for as long as you own it, which is the whole argument for buying one rather than a plated ring.
