This is the quiet one. A fine round band with a shallow curve through the front — no point, no wave, no stones. It exists to sit against something else without arguing with it, and it does that better than any shaped band in this collection.

The band

The curve is deliberately understated: enough to clear the shoulders of a solitaire so the two rings touch along their whole length, not enough to look odd when the engagement ring is off. Round wire was chosen over a flat section because round has no edges to sit unevenly against a neighboring band. Solid gold, karat stamped inside.

About the gold

Solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold, or platinum, in the color you choose — never plated, never filled. Higher karats are richer in color and softer; 14K is the usual choice for a band worn every day, 18K for one that is worn a little more carefully. Every band is stamped with its karat on the inside.

How is this different from the curved nesting band?
It is not — they are the same ring, listed twice under different names in our source data, and we have kept both live rather than quietly deleting one. Same profile, same curve, same weight, same price. Order whichever page you are on.

Can it be resized?
Yes, freely, up or down. There is nothing set into it, so the bench cuts at the back, adds or removes metal and re-polishes. The curve is unaffected by a change of one or two sizes.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is this solid gold or plated?
Solid, all the way through, in the karat you select. Nothing here is plated or filled, and the inside of the band carries the karat stamp. A solid band can be polished and resized for as long as you own it, which is the whole argument for buying one rather than a plated ring.
