Fifteen stones down the face of a flat-edged band, held by claws that have each been split into two fine points. The split is what gives the row its beaded edge — a line of tiny gold dots running either side of the diamonds like a border.

The band

A split claw does the same holding job as a plain one but reads as two beads instead of one lump, which softens the metal line without weakening it. Against the hard square edges of this band that softness is the whole contrast: crisp outside, beaded inside, bright down the middle. The edges themselves are left as unbroken polished rails, which keeps the run looking framed rather than loose. 0.60 carats across fifteen.

Common questions

Is split-claw setting more delicate than standard pave?
Each individual point is finer, but there are twice as many of them, so in practice it holds about as well. What it does need is a bench check every couple of years — fine points wear faster than thick ones and are quicker to retip.

Do the flat edges make it uncomfortable?
The outside edges are square; the inside is rounded for comfort. You feel the flat face on the outside of the finger, which most people like, and nothing sharp against the skin.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a small calibrated stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
