The band

What separates a good half eternity from a mediocre one is whether the stones are the same height. Shared claws hold two stones each, so a seat cut a fraction too deep pulls its neighbor down with it and the run goes wavy under raking light. These are cut to a single depth across all thirteen, which is why the top line stays flat. Total 1.10 carats — real size, not melee.

Common questions

Why half eternity rather than full?
Two reasons, and both are practical. A half eternity resizes; a full one largely does not. And the bottom third of a full eternity sits against your other fingers all day, which is where stones get knocked loose. You lose nothing visible, because that section is never seen.

How do the shared claws hold up?
Well, and they are the part to have checked. Every two or three years ask a bench to look at the claws under a loupe and tighten anything that has worn. It is a ten-minute job and it is the single thing that keeps a band like this together for decades.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a small calibrated stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
