Most contour bands solve the gap under an engagement ring and leave it at that. This one puts a flower there. Seven bezel-set diamonds are grouped into a rosette at the top of the curve — six around one — with a larger single bezel sitting just off to the side of it, and the rest of the band running on as a plain line of bezels.

The band

Grouping the small stones into a rosette rather than spreading them along the band concentrates the light in one place, so the ring has an obvious front. The single larger bezel beside it breaks the symmetry and stops the flower looking like a badge. Every stone, rosette and run alike, is rub-over set with the walls burnished flat, so there is nothing standing proud anywhere on the ring. Twenty-three stones, 0.44 carats.

Common questions

Will the rosette sit on top of my engagement ring or beside it?
Beside it. The rosette is set into the curve, so when the band nests it fills the space at one shoulder of the center stone rather than sitting under it. That is what makes the pair look designed together rather than stacked.

Is the rosette fragile?
Less than it looks. Each of the seven stones has its own bezel wall rather than sharing claws, so damage to one does not loosen its neighbors, and there are no prongs to bend. It is one of the more robust ways to build a cluster.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a 0.10ct melee stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
