An open band that ends in two flat kite-shaped plaques, each edged in milgrain beading and holding three small diamonds in a line. The plaques face each other across the gap, so the ring reads as two small Deco panels floating on a wire rather than as a band with a piece missing.

The band

Milgrain is the detail that dates this correctly: a fine row of beads pressed along the edge of each plaque, which softens the kite outline and catches light independently of the stones. Three diamonds per plaque, bead-set in a line along the long axis, six in total at 0.06 carats. The wire between them is left as fine as it can safely be, so the two plaques read as the ring and the band as a way of holding them on.

Every stone in this band is a lab-grown diamond — the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behavior as a mined diamond, grown rather than extracted. Common questions

Will the milgrain wear off?
The beading softens over years of daily wear and eventually rounds out. That is the normal life of a milgrain edge and most people find it improves; if you want it crisp again, any bench can re-cut it. The stones are unaffected.

How open is the gap?
About 4mm, so it is clearly intentional but does not press against the finger beside it. The band sits correctly across roughly half a size either way, which makes it a good choice if your ring size moves with the weather.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a 0.10ct melee stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
