The quietest ring in this group. A softly curved band, 2mm wide, with thirteen small diamonds let straight into the face of it — no bezels, no claws, nothing above the surface. Worn against an engagement ring it fills the curve; worn alone it looks like a plain band with a line of light in it.

The band

Flush setting is slower at the bench than any other method at this size — each stone needs its own seat cut and the surrounding gold hammered and burnished over the girdle — and the payoff is a surface you can run a finger along without feeling anything. The curve is gentle and the band tapers slightly into it, so the stones sit closest together at the lowest point, which concentrates the brightness exactly where the eye goes. Thirteen stones, 0.10 carats.

Common questions

Are flush-set stones secure?
More secure than claws, in practice. There is nothing standing up to be knocked or bent, and the stone is held by a continuous ring of burnished gold rather than four points of contact. It is the setting we recommend for anyone who works with their hands.

How does the curve compare to a sharp V band?
It is far gentler — a shallow dip rather than an angle. That means it nests under a wider range of engagement rings and does not look obviously empty worn on its own. If you need something for a deep chevron setting, tell us and we will point you at the right shape.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
