Two parallel bands with a gap between them, and three diamonds held in the gap — gripped from both sides, with nothing underneath. You can see daylight through the ring on either side of every stone, which is what makes them look suspended rather than mounted.

The band

The three stones graduate: the largest at the center front, then one a size down on each side, so the group has a middle. Each is claw-set into both rails at once, which is what holds it and what makes the rails structural rather than decorative. Because there is no gallery or underbezel, light enters the pavilion from below as well as above — a suspended stone is noticeably brighter than the same stone sitting on metal. Three stones, 0.78 carats.

Common questions

Does anything collect in the gap?
Less than in a closed setting, because it is open on both sides rather than being a pocket. Warm water, a drop of dish soap and a soft brush pushed through clears it completely in under a minute.

Can the three stones be different sizes to what is shown?
Yes — the graduation can be flatter or steeper, or all three matched. It changes the total carat weight and therefore the price, so message us with what you have in mind and we will quote it before you order.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a 0.10ct melee stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
