Most wide bands put the diamonds down the middle. This one runs them along the bottom edge and leaves the whole dome above them bare, which does two things: the plain gold stays the loudest part of the ring, and the stones catch light from underneath at an angle you do not usually see.

The band

A 4.5mm dome is a lot of metal to look at, and a line of stones through the center of it would have cut the curve in half visually. Setting them at the edge instead keeps the dome reading as one unbroken surface while giving the ring a bright line where it meets the finger below. Sixteen stones, 0.70 carats total, and the band still tapers slightly toward the back so it does not feel like a cuff.

Common questions

Is a band this wide comfortable?
The dome is what makes it work — a flat 4.5mm band has two hard edges against the finger, a domed one has none. It is still a wide ring and it will feel like one for the first week. If you normally wear 2mm bands, size up a quarter and tell us.

Will the plain dome show wear more than a set band?
It will show it more visibly, because there is more uninterrupted polish to mark. It also polishes back more easily for exactly the same reason — no stones for the bench to work around.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a small calibrated stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
