A dipped band with a crown of seven diamonds arching over it — and between the outer stones, short upright bars of plain polished gold standing up like the blanks in a coronet. The gold is doing as much work here as the stones.

The band

Putting metal where a viewer expects another diamond is a period trick and it still works: the eye reads the gold bars as part of the crown, so the piece looks broader and more architectural than seven stones alone would. It also means the ring keeps its outline from the side, where a row of claws would disappear. Seven stones, 0.42 carats, graduated so the largest sits at the peak.

Common questions

Will the upright bars catch?
They are short, rounded at the top and polished, and they sit level with the crowns of the diamonds beside them rather than above. In practice the stones and the bars catch about equally, which is to say very little.

Can I have it without the bars?
Not on this design — the bars are part of the cast form, not added afterwards, and removing them would leave gaps in the arc. If you want a continuous run of stones instead, the curved crown band in this collection is the one to look at.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a small calibrated stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
