The band dips into a shallow V under the stone with diamonds down both arms, and the gallery beneath is cut away into open arches.

The setting

A round brilliant is claw-set at the apex of a shank that drops into a V and carries bead-set round accents of about 0.30ct along both arms. Underneath, the gallery is pierced into open arches rather than left solid — a detail you only see when the ring comes off, and the reason it is noticeably lighter on the finger than its profile suggests. The V also does practical work: it seats a contoured band perfectly and lifts the pave clear of the adjacent fingers.

Common questions

Why pierce the gallery?
It removes metal from the one place nobody looks, which drops the weight and the cost, and lets you see through the stone from the side. Antique settings did it as standard.

Will a straight wedding band fit?
It will touch at the point of the V and leave a small gap on each side. A matching chevron band closes it exactly.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
