The setting

The center stone sits in four fine claws at the top of one arm; the other arm passes beneath it and finishes in a flattened terminal with a round of about 0.10ct rub-over set into it. Everything else is plain polished gold. It is the quietest version of this open-shank family — no step cuts, no pave, no shape play — and the one that reads most like a plain solitaire until someone looks twice.

Common questions

Is a round brilliant still the brightest cut?
Yes. Fifty-seven facets arranged for maximum return of light — no other shape beats it, which is why it costs more per carat than any other cut.

Does the second stone add much to the price?
Very little at this size. It is there for the shape of the ring, not for carat weight.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
