The accents beside the stone are not round — they are tiny marquises, set on their sides so they read as leaves growing off a twisting stem.

The setting

A round brilliant sits in claws at the high point of a shank that turns gently on itself. On either side, marquise-cut accents are claw-set at an angle with a small round between them, so the group reads as foliage rather than as a row of diamonds. Roughly 0.15ct of accents in total. Marquise melee is harder to set than round — each stone has two fragile points and has to be oriented by hand — which is why this look is uncommon at this price.

Common questions

Why marquise accents instead of round?
Round melee reads as sparkle. Marquise melee reads as shape. Set on the diagonal like this it gives the ring a botanical line that a row of round stones cannot.

Does the twist make it uncomfortable?
No — the twist is on the outside face only; the inside of the shank is a smooth comfort-fit round.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.
