This one does not close. The band starts at the big radiant, travels round the finger and comes back up the other side carrying a row of nine smaller radiants, then stops just short of where it began. The result sits like a wrap rather than a ring - the diamonds run along the finger instead of round it, and the open end is what makes the whole thing read as a piece of jewelry rather than a setting.

The setting

Every stone in the row gets its own rub-over bezel, and each bezel is cut a shade smaller than the one before it, so the line tapers away toward the open end instead of stopping abruptly. The accents total 1.50 carats. The center radiant is set the other way up - across the finger, in a deeper bezel with a taller wall - which gives the two ends of the ring completely different weights and keeps the eye moving from one to the other. The band between them is plain and heavy enough to hold the shape without flexing.

Common questions

Does the open end move or lose its shape?
It is not a spring fit - the band is heavy through the back and the gap is small, so it holds. What you should avoid is pulling it on and off by the open ends. Slide it on as you would a closed ring and it will keep its shape indefinitely.

Can it be sized?
Yes, more easily than a closed ring - a bench can open or close the gap a little, and there is a plain section at the back to work in. Tell us your size at the order stage and we make it to fit rather than adjusting it afterwards.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
Yes. Every center stone of 1 carat and above ships with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, color and clarity. Accent and pave stones are matched to the same color and clarity range but are not individually certified.
