The band on this set carries three quarters of a carat — three quarters of the center stone's own weight. That is a deliberate imbalance. Read as a pair, the set is less engagement-ring-plus-accessory and more two halves of one design.

The ring

The 1ct pear lies on its side, point toward the edge of the finger, held by a claw at the tip and two more along the shoulder. The bypass shank wraps the rounded end and passes behind, which gives the stone a bezel's protection along its most exposed curve while leaving the crown fully open. East-west is the orientation that suits a 1ct pear best — vertically it can look narrow, sideways it spreads.

The band

The bold pave band uses larger round diamonds than our minimal pave, set in a wider bead-set channel that follows the same curve as the setting. 0.75ct total. The scale is what makes it work against the 1ct center: a finer band would look apologetic next to the sweep of the bypass.

About our lab-grown diamonds

Every stone we set is a lab-grown diamond — the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behavior as a mined diamond, grown rather than extracted. Centre stones of 1 carat and above ship with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, colour and clarity. Melee and pave stones are matched to the same colour and clarity range but are not individually certified.

Common questions

What is the difference between your bold pave and minimal pave bands?
Bold pave uses larger stones in a wider band and reads as a distinct diamond line from across a room. Minimal pave uses smaller stones in a narrower band for a finer, more subtle sparkle. Same curve, different weight.

Is the pear point protected?
Yes — the tip sits inside a claw and the bypass shank shields the side. The point is the part of a pear most likely to chip, so it is worth checking on any pear ring you consider.

Does the 0.75ct band overpower a 1ct center?
It is close in weight but not in presence — the center is one large stone and the band is many small ones, so the eye still goes to the pear first. If you want a quieter band, we also make this set with the 0.36ct minimal pave version.

Which metal suits a pear best?
All three work. Yellow and rose gold warm the stone slightly; white gold keeps it reading as cool and bright. For a lab-grown diamond in the D–F range, white gold shows the colour most honestly.

Can this be resized after purchase?
Yes, within about two sizes either way. The pave band has a limit because the diamonds run part way around it — tell us your size at checkout to avoid resizing altogether.
