Six fine claws, a ring of small diamonds tucked under the crown where nobody sees it from above, and a band that twists all the way round.

The setting

A pear stands point-up in six claws — a V over the tip and a pair at each flank — above a hidden halo set into the sides of the basket. The shank twists in two strands beneath it, both carrying bead-set rounds, about 0.40ct in total with the halo. Six claws on a pear is a deliberate choice: four leaves too much of the long edges unsupported at size, and the two extra grips sit where they are least visible from above.

Common questions

Will I see the hidden halo?
From the side, constantly. From directly above, not at all. It is the detail people notice in photographs of their own hand before they notice it in the mirror.

Does it make the ring sit high?
About a millimeter higher than the same setting without it. That is the trade for the extra light at the girdle.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
Yes. Every center stone of 1 carat and above ships with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, color and clarity. Accent and pave stones are matched to the same color and clarity range but are not individually certified.
