One side of the band is a wide wave of gold covered in three rows of diamonds; the other side is bare polished metal. The pear sits where they meet.

The setting

The shank swells into a broad curved wave under the stone. Across that whole surface, round accents of roughly 0.60ct are bead-set in three graduating rows that follow the curve, while the opposite arm is left entirely plain. Pave on a compound curve is the hardest setting job on a ring like this — the seats have to be cut at a changing angle, and any stone set a fraction off line shows immediately as a dark spot. The contrast with the bare arm is what makes the set side read as bright as it does.

Common questions

How many stones are on the wave?
Around fifty, in three rows, all under 1.3mm. Together they come to about 0.60ct.

Does pave need much looking after?
Rinse it in warm soapy water and brush it gently every few weeks — lotion builds up under small stones faster than anything. Have the beads checked every two years.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
