The setting

The pear is claw-set point-up with a V-collar over the tip. Against one shoulder a cluster of marquise-cut accents fans outward like a wing; the other shoulder runs clean into the band. That band is multi-row pave — several parallel lines of round accents rather than a single line — which gives it visible width and makes the shank read as a solid surface of light. Accents total around 0.60ct. This is the largest setting we make and it is built for a substantial stone: the proportions only work from about 2 carats up.

Common questions

Why does this one start at 2 carats?
The accent cluster and the multi-row band are fixed in scale. Below about 2 carats the center stone stops being the largest thing on the ring, which defeats the design.

Is the cluster on one side only?
Yes. The asymmetry is deliberate — it gives the ring a direction on the hand and keeps the pear's outline clear on the other flank.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
