The band splits in two before it reaches the stone — one strand set with diamonds, one bare — and the pear hangs in the gap below the line.

The setting

The shank divides at the shoulders into two strands that run side by side across the top of the finger: the upper one carries shared-claw round accents of about 0.40ct, the lower is plain. The pear is claw-set east-west beneath them, sitting below the pave line rather than above it, which is the reverse of almost every ring on the market and the reason this one looks unfamiliar from the first glance. It also puts the stone closer to the finger, so the ring sits flat.

Common questions

Why is the stone below the band rather than on top?
Because it drops the profile and turns the pave into a horizon line above the diamond. It is a deliberate inversion — most rings lift the stone, this one hangs it.

Does it wear well under gloves?
Better than almost anything with this much stone on it. There is nothing standing up above the band.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.
