The setting

The pear lies across the finger, claws at its point and its belly. From one side a ribbon of bead-set round accents rises, follows the curve of the stone's upper edge, and then divides into two pave arms that taper into the plain polished shank — roughly 0.45ct in all. Nothing about the layout is symmetrical, which is the point: the setting has a direction, and the stone sits at the front of the movement rather than the middle of it.

Common questions

Does the pave outline count as a halo?
No. A halo encircles the stone; this follows only one edge and then leaves. It gives you the brightness of a halo on the side you see most, at roughly half the stone count.

Which way does the tail run?
Toward the little finger by default, so it reads correctly when you look down at your own hand. We can mirror it if you ask.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
