A thick, rounded band — the weight of a wedding ring — with a pear standing on the front of it, point down toward the wrist.

The setting

The shank is a full half-round comfort-fit band, heavy front to back with no taper, and the pear is claw-set directly onto its face rather than lifted on a head. Three claws hold it: a V over the point and one at each shoulder. Because the stone sits on the band rather than above it, the profile is extremely low and the ring reads as a solid piece of gold that happens to have a diamond in it. Point-down is deliberate — it keeps the tip clear of the knuckle, which is where a pear takes its knocks.

Common questions

Is a comfort-fit band worth it?
On a band this heavy, yes. The inner surface is domed rather than flat, so it rolls over the finger instead of gripping it — noticeably easier to get on and off.

Can the point face up instead?
Yes. Point-up lengthens the finger; point-down sits flatter under a stacked band. Tell us which at checkout.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.
