A pear turned on its side already looks like a comma. Running 0.30ct of pave out from beneath it along the bypass curve extends that stroke — the diamonds read as the tail of the shape rather than as decoration added to a band.

The ring

The 1ct pear lies east-west, tip toward the edge of the finger and held in a claw, the rounded end cradled by the half-bezel. A bead-set line of round lab-grown diamonds, 0.30ct total, is set into the lower arm of the bypass and curves away under the stone. The profile is low — noticeably lower than a claw-set pear of the same weight — so it wears well under gloves and does not catch.

The band

The fitted band is plain polished gold, cut to the same curve so it sits flush under the setting with no gap. It is there to complete the stack, not to compete with the demi-pave on the ring.

About our lab-grown diamonds

Every stone we set is a lab-grown diamond — the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behavior as a mined diamond, grown rather than extracted. Centre stones of 1 carat and above ship with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, colour and clarity. Melee and pave stones are matched to the same colour and clarity range but are not individually certified.

Common questions

Is an east-west pear less secure than a point-up pear?
No — if anything it is better protected here, because the half-bezel covers the rounded end and the tip sits in a claw shielded by the shank. Exposure at the point is the main risk with any pear.

How does 0.30ct of demi-pave compare to a 0.75ct pave band?
Roughly a third of the stone weight and a much finer line. The demi-pave hugs the center stone; a heavy band puts a distinct bright stripe below it. Different effects, not better or worse.

Does the band have stones?
No, the included band is plain polished gold cut to the ring's contour.

What clarity and colour are the lab-grown diamonds?
Centre stones are typically D–F colour and VS clarity or better, confirmed on the IGI certificate. Melee is matched to the same range but is not individually certified.

Can I see the actual stone before it is set?
Yes — message us after ordering and we will send video of the specific center diamond before we set it.
