The pear points up; the shank curves down beneath it. That opposition is what gives the ring its lift — the stone appears to rise out of the dip rather than sit on top of a band, and the effect is strongest when the matching curved band closes the shape from below.

The ring

A 1ct pear, roughly 8.5 x 5.5mm, set north-south with five claws including a V-claw over the point. The shank waves gently downward under the stone and lifts again at the shoulders. The curve does practical work as well as visual: it seats the wide end of the pear lower, which reduces the height that makes many pear solitaires feel top-heavy.

The band

0.36ct of round lab-grown diamonds bead-set along a band cut to the same wave. It meets the underside of the setting flush, with the diamond line running shoulder to shoulder and stopping at the contact point so the two rings read as one curve rather than two.

About our lab-grown diamonds

Every stone we set is a lab-grown diamond — the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behavior as a mined diamond, grown rather than extracted. Center stones of 1 carat and above ship with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, color and clarity. Melee and pave stones are matched to the same color and clarity range but are not individually certified.

Common questions

Is the pear point protected?
Yes — a V-claw covers the tip, gripping it along both edges. This is the setting detail worth insisting on with any pear-cut ring.

Does a pear solitaire look bigger than a round at the same carat?
Yes. A 1ct pear runs about 8.5 x 5.5mm against roughly 6.4mm for a 1ct round, so it covers more finger even though the weight is identical.

Will the band sit flush?
Yes — it is cut to the same curve as the ring's shank. A straight band will not, and will rock against the setting.

How do I keep the pear from rotating on my finger?
Correct sizing is most of it. If the ring still spins, we can add sizing beads inside the shank at no cost within the first year.
