Six ovals, bezels pressed so tightly together that the walls between them merge — from a step back the setting reads as a single scalloped strip of gold with diamonds cut into it rather than six separate collets in a row.

The band

Butting bezels is a decision you make at the wax stage, not the bench. The collets have to be modeled already touching, so the shared walls are one piece of metal rather than two soldered together — otherwise you get a visible seam at every junction and the ring looks assembled. Done as one form, the run has no joins at all. Six stones, 1.50 carats, all lying across the finger.

Common questions

How does this compare to the four-oval version?
Four larger stones on a slightly wider band against six smaller ones here. Almost the same total weight; this one reads as a continuous run, that one reads as four distinct stones. It comes down to whether you want rhythm or presence.

Can a bezel be opened to clean underneath?
No, and it does not need to be — a rub-over bezel is closed at the back only if we make it so, and these are open-backed, so light gets in from below and so does a soft brush. Warm water and a soft toothbrush once a month is the whole maintenance routine.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a small calibrated stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
