Seventeen oval diamonds, each one turned across the finger and wrapped in its own complete bezel, with the bezels touching so there is no plain gold between them at all. What you get is a continuous track of gold with seventeen bright ovals let into it — the cleanest way to run a fancy cut round a finger, and the hardest to make well.

The band

Ovals nest badly side by side unless they are turned east-west, which is why they are: laid across the band, each one's width becomes the band's width and the curves of neighboring bezels meet in a clean scallop. Getting seventeen bezels to finish at exactly the same height is the whole difficulty of this ring. The walls are burnished down onto each crown and the entire top surface is then polished as one. One carat total, and nothing anywhere to snag.

Every stone in this band is a lab-grown diamond — the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behavior as a mined diamond, grown rather than extracted. Common questions

Why bezels rather than claws on an eternity band?
Claws on a full eternity band are the first thing to wear down and the thing that catches on knitwear — and there would be sixty-eight of them here. A bezel has no projections at all. It costs more in metal and considerably more in labor, and it is what we would put on any band meant to be worn every day and never taken off.

Can it be resized?
Only slightly, and only by a bench willing to cut between two bezels and re-seat them. There is no plain section to work in. Order the right size first time — we will send you a free plastic sizer, and it is worth waiting for.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a 0.10ct melee stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
