Two strands of diamonds twist around each other all the way to the stone, and there is a second ring of small stones hidden underneath the oval where only you can see it.

The setting

An oval is claw-set lengthwise above a hidden halo — a ring of tiny rounds set into the side of the basket, invisible from directly above and visible from every other angle. Below, the shank splits into two strands that twist around one another, both bead-set with round accents; together with the halo they come to roughly 0.45ct. A hidden halo is the detail that does the most work for the least money on a ring like this: it adds brightness at the girdle, where it makes the center stone look larger, without putting any stones where they compete with it face-up.

Common questions

What is a hidden halo?
A row of small diamonds set around the outside of the setting basket, below the center stone. You see it from the side and in photographs taken at an angle, not from directly above.

Does it make the ring taller?
Slightly — about a millimeter. It is the trade-off for the extra light at the girdle, and most people find it worth it.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
