One arm of the band swells into a thick, polished wave that curls past the stone; the other stays flat. All the drama is in the metal.

The setting

An oval is claw-set slightly off the axis of the finger, and the shank beneath it splits in character: one side thickens into a broad sculpted wave that rises, curves past the stone and tapers away, the other stays a clean flat band. There are no accent stones at all. A piece like this is carved and polished rather than cast and set — the whole surface of the wave is visible, so any dip or ripple in the metal shows, and getting the highlight to run cleanly along the curve is most of the bench time.

Common questions

Why no small diamonds anywhere?
Because the shape of the metal is the design. Set stones into the wave and the eye reads sparkle instead of form.

Is the thick side uncomfortable?
No — it is thick in height, not in width against the finger, and the back of the shank stays slim.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.
