A fine band that thins almost to a wire, then breaks into a scatter of small diamonds on the way to the stone. Nothing is symmetrical about the spacing, which is the point.

The setting

An oval sits lengthwise in four slim claws. The shoulders carry a handful of round accents set at irregular intervals rather than a continuous pave line, so the band reads as a trail of light rather than a row of stones. Because the accents are spaced, each one is set in its own bead and can be replaced on its own; a continuous channel cannot. The band is deliberately narrow, which makes the center stone read larger than the same weight on a wider shank.

Common questions

Why spaced accents instead of a pave band?
Spaced stones keep the gold visible between them, so the band still reads as gold rather than as a line of diamonds. It also means less to catch on fabric, and any one stone can be reset without disturbing its neighbors.

Will a wedding band sit flush against it?
Yes. The shank is straight and the setting sits low, so a plain or pave band sits against it with no gap.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.
