The band sweeps up in a single shallow curve to meet the stone, so the ring has no straight line anywhere in it.

The setting

A oval brilliant sits in fine claws at the crest of a band that curves rather than running straight into the setting. The curve does something practical as well as visual: it seats a contoured wedding band perfectly, and it lifts the stone slightly at the front while keeping the back of the shank low and comfortable. The band is plain polished gold with no accents and no gallery detail — there is nothing here but the curve and the stone.

Common questions

Does it need a curved wedding band?
It is made for one, and a curved band nests into the sweep with no gap. A straight band sits against the high points and leaves a small space beneath the stone.

Is a plain solitaire worth it over a pave band?
It puts every dollar into the center stone rather than into melee. If you want the largest, best-cut stone your budget allows, this is the setting that gets you there.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher.
