A heavy band that has been pinched in the middle, so it swells into two rounded lobes with a narrow waist between them — and the five stones are let straight into the gold, following that line. No claws, no bezels standing up, nothing above the surface. Run your thumb across it and you feel gold and then the cold flat of a diamond table.

The band

Flush setting means each stone is dropped into a seat cut to its own outline and the surrounding gold burnished over its girdle — which is why the princess reads as a square of light, the pear as a teardrop, and the two rounds as discs, with no metal outline separating them from the band. Five stones, five different cuts, 0.45 carats in total. The waisted shape is what makes it comfortable at 7mm: the narrow middle sits between the knuckles and the lobes sit either side.

Common questions

Is a 7mm band too wide for everyday?
It is only 7mm at the two lobes — the waist is under half that, and the waist is what sits at the base of your finger. In practice it wears like a much narrower band. If you are unsure, tell us and we will send the measurements to compare against a ring you already own.

Why mix five different cuts?
Because a row of matched stones reads as a formal five-stone ring, and this is not one. Mixing the cuts and sizes makes the line look collected rather than specified, which is the whole character of the piece. The arrangement is fixed — it is worked out around the waist of the band.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a 0.10ct melee stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
