A heavy rounded wire that does not close, with diamonds running the length of both arms and stopping at two flat square-cut ends. The gap is narrow — enough to read as deliberate, not enough to look broken — and it is what lets a band this solid still feel light on the hand.

The band

The pave is not all one cut. Marquises, pears and round brilliants are mixed along the arms in graduated sizes, bead-set so the gold between them almost disappears, and the mix is what stops the line reading as a machine-set strip. Thirty-four stones, 0.56 carats in total. The stones cover the top face only; the sides and inside of the wire stay plain polished gold, so the ring is bright from above and quiet from the side.

Every stone in this band is a lab-grown diamond — the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behavior as a mined diamond, grown rather than extracted. Common questions

Can it be worn as a wedding band?
Plenty of people do. It sits flat against a solitaire on either side, and the open end gives you somewhere to rotate the join to if you would rather it was not visible. It is also the rare band that works stacked with a second one worn the opposite way round.

How does the open end affect sizing?
It makes fit more forgiving — the band sits correctly across roughly half a size either side of what you order. It also makes resizing easier than a closed band, since a bench can open or close the gap slightly without cutting through any stones.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a 0.10ct melee stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
