A proper chevron — a real angle, not a soft dip — with nine stones in four different cuts stepping up its two arms. A marquise sits at the point, a baguette immediately beside it on each side, and then rounds in milgrain bezels rising toward the shoulders. It is the most obviously vintage piece in this collection.

The band

Changing the cut at every step is what makes the line read as antique rather than modern: a 1920s band would have used whatever stones came to hand in whatever shapes fitted, and this reproduces that logic deliberately. The milgrain edging round each bezel is the other half of it — beading softens the outline of every setting so the stones sit in gold rather than on it. Nine stones, 0.20 carats, on a 1.5mm wire.

Common questions

Will a sharp chevron nest under my ring?
Only if your engagement ring has a matching angle or a pointed stone sitting low — a marquise or a pear, typically. Against a round solitaire it will leave two gaps. Send a photograph and we will tell you before you order rather than after.

Can the stones be matched to a warmer color?
Yes, and on a vintage-style piece a slightly warmer grade often looks more correct than a stark white. Tell us the character you are after and we will select the stones accordingly at no extra cost.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a 0.10ct melee stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
