Two rows, doing different jobs. Eleven marquises tilt across the top of the band; underneath them, tucked into the edge of the shank, runs a second row of ten tiny rounds. From above you see the marquises. From any other angle you catch the beaded line beneath.

The band

A hidden lower row is an old trick for making a band look richer from the side without adding height. The small rounds sit below the marquise girdles where they cannot be seen straight down, so they cost very little carat weight and add a line of light exactly where a plain shank edge would have been. Twenty-one stones in total, 0.95 carats, on a band that is still only 2.2mm at its widest.

About our lab-grown diamonds

Every stone in this band is a lab-grown diamond — the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behavior as a mined diamond, grown rather than extracted. The stones are matched to one another for color and clarity across the whole ring and certified as a set rather than individually, which is standard for calibrated stones of this size.

Common questions

Are the lower stones visible when worn?
From the side and from below, clearly. Looking straight down at your own hand, barely. That is intentional — it is detail for the person standing opposite you, and for you when you catch it in a mirror.

Does the second row make it harder to clean?
Slightly. Dirt collects under a double row faster than under a single one. Warm water, a drop of dish soap and a soft toothbrush once a month, brushing from underneath, handles it completely.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a small calibrated stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
