Marquise, round, marquise, round — five and six of them alternating along a band that curves gently through the front. The rhythm is the design. Take out the little rounds and you have an ordinary marquise band; leave them in and the whole run pulses.

The band

The small rounds are doing structural work as well as visual. Marquises set east-west leave a natural gap at their narrow points, and a round dropped into each gap fills it exactly while giving the claws something to brace against. So the spacing you see is not decoration — it is what the geometry of the two cuts produces when they are fitted properly. Eleven stones,

Common questions

Are the marquise points exposed?
No — each point sits tucked against the round beside it, which is the safest place for a marquise tip to be. It is one of the reasons the alternating layout is worth the extra setting time.

Can it be worn as a standalone band?
Easily. The curve is gentle enough that worn alone it looks like a shaped band rather than an obviously empty contour, and the alternating rhythm gives it enough going on to hold its own.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a small calibrated stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
