A heavy band that wraps past itself twice, with a marquise across the middle and a small rectangular step cut standing at each loose end.

The setting

The marquise is claw-set on the diagonal where a thick rounded shank crosses over itself. Each of the two free ends rises slightly and carries a small emerald-cut accent of roughly 0.20ct, claw-set on the same diagonal so all three stones run parallel. Mixing a brilliant-cut marquise with two step cuts gives you two different kinds of light in one ring — fire in the middle, flat white flashes at the ends — and setting them on a common axis is what keeps it from looking like three unrelated stones.

Common questions

Are the end stones secure at the open ends of the band?
Each sits in its own claw head on a thickened terminal, which is a solid platform. There is more metal behind them than under most shoulder stones.

Does the wrapped shank sit flat?
It sits slightly proud on one side, which is the nature of a bypass. A contoured wedding band closes the gap neatly.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
Yes. Every center stone of 1 carat and above ships with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, color and clarity. Accent and pave stones are matched to the same color and clarity range but are not individually certified.
