The setting

The marquise is claw-set lengthwise with a Round-cut accent at each flank, each turned so its point runs away from the center. Below them the band is set the whole way round the front with round diamonds held in individual claws rather than beads — a shared-claw band, which shows more of each stone than bead-set pave does. Accents total about 0.55ct across the pears and the band. The effect from above is floral rather than linear: the eye reads a cluster, not a three-stone row.

Common questions

Is this a three-stone ring?
Technically, but it does not read like one. The pears sit against the sides of the marquise rather than on the shoulders, so the group reads as one petalled shape rather than three separate stones.

How secure is a shared-claw band?
Each claw holds two neighboring stones, which uses less metal and shows more diamond. It is secure and standard, and like any set band it wants a check once a year.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
Yes. Every center stone of 1 carat and above ships with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, color and clarity. Accent and pave stones are matched to the same color and clarity range but are not individually certified.
