Two arms of gold curve up from the band, catch the marquise at its points and continue past each other. The stone appears to be suspended in the gap between them.

The setting

The marquise lies across the finger, gripped at each tip by an arm of the shank that rises, wraps the point and sweeps away on the other side. There is no head and no gallery — the arms are the setting. Because they pass rather than meet, the ring reads differently from every angle: from the front it is a stone on a band, from the side it is a single ribbon of gold folding around itself. The profile is low and there are no claw tips standing proud of the crown.

Common questions

Is the stone secure with only two contact points?
Each arm wraps a point rather than pinching it, gripping along two edges the way a V-collar does. It is the standard protection for marquise tips and it holds well.

Will it sit flush with a wedding band?
Close, on one side. The bypass means one side sits slightly higher — a gently contoured band evens it out.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
Yes. Every center stone of 1 carat and above ships with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, color and clarity. Accent and pave stones are matched to the same color and clarity range but are not individually certified.
