One arm of the band is a rounded dome packed with three rows of small diamonds; the other is bare polished gold. The marquise lies between them.

The setting

The shank waves up on both sides of the stone. One arm is left plain and smooth; the other rises into a rounded dome bead-set with round accents in three staggered rows, roughly 0.55ct, so the pave wraps over the curve rather than sitting on a flat surface. The marquise is held in a half-bezel where the two arms meet. Domed pave is set into a compound curve, which means the beads on the outer rows lean outward — done properly the whole surface glitters at once from any angle, which a flat pave band never does.

Common questions

Why is only one side set?
So the two arms contrast. Set both and the ring becomes a pave band with a stone on it; set one and the wave reads as two different materials meeting.

How do I clean domed pave?
Warm water, a drop of dish soap and a soft toothbrush, every few weeks. Rinse well and dry with a lint-free cloth — residue under small stones is what dulls them.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
Yes. Every center stone of 1 carat and above ships with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, color and clarity. Accent and pave stones are matched to the same color and clarity range but are not individually certified.
