Every stone on this ring ends in a point, and every point wears a small metal cap. The 1.5 ct lozenge-cut lab-grown diamond runs north-south, the two kites run east-west, and together they read as a four-pointed star across the finger.

The setting

A lozenge is an elongated rhombus with step-cut facets, so it shows long flashes of light rather than scattered sparkle. Its four sharp corners are the weak spots, which is why each one sits in a V-tip claw instead of a round prong. The kites get the same treatment at their inner and outer tips, so no corner on the ring is left exposed. The band stays plain and slightly tapered, which keeps attention on the geometry and lets the head sit low.

Common questions

Why is the lozenge cut not in the diamond selector?
Lozenge is an unusual step cut, and the kites on either side are cut to follow its outline. This ring is sold with the 1.5 ct lozenge center matched to that pair, so the shape is not offered as a separate choice in the selector.

Do the V-tip claws catch on clothing?
V-tips sit flat against the stone's points rather than standing up like round prongs, so they are fairly low. With six points on the ring there are more edges than on a solitaire, so knit fabrics can snag occasionally. Having the tips checked once a year keeps them tight against the corners.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The design, the cut and the carat weight, yes. Individual stones vary slightly, and colored stones in particular read differently under daylight and warm indoor light. We photograph your finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
Yes. Every center stone of 1 carat and above ships with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, color and clarity. Accent and pave stones are matched to the same color and clarity range but are not individually certified.
