A hexagon step cut shows rings of flat facets that nest inside each other like a honeycomb seen from above. Here a 1.5 ct lab-grown diamond in that cut sits on a vine that twists up both sides, with small marquise leaves and round buds caught in the growth.

The setting

Six corners call for six claws, one per point, so the outline of the hexagon is never broken by a prong landing mid-edge. The shank is two strands wound around each other, opening slightly near the head where the leaves gather. The marquise accents are set like leaves and the rounds like buds, which gives the vine a reason to carry stones rather than just holding them. The contrast is deliberate: a strict geometric center against loose, organic metalwork.

Why is the hexagon cut not available in the diamond selector?
Hexagon step cuts are uncommon and the head of this ring is built to their six corners. The ring is sold with its 1.5 ct hexagon center already matched, so the cut is not listed separately in the selector.

How does a twisted vine shank handle resizing?
Small changes are usually fine because the jeweler works at the plain back of the band. Large changes can distort the twist or bring a leaf too close to the joint, so we recommend confirming the size before ordering.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The design, the cut and the carat weight, yes. Individual stones vary slightly, and colored stones in particular read differently under daylight and warm indoor light. We photograph your finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Yes. Every center stone of 1 carat and above ships with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, color and clarity. Accent and pave stones are matched to the same color and clarity range but are not individually certified.
