Gold leaves grow along both sides of the band toward the stone and stop. No small diamonds anywhere — the vine is entirely metalwork.

The setting

The heart is claw-set point-down on a shank sculpted into a leafed vine that runs down both shoulders and thins toward the back. Every leaf is worked by hand after casting, curled and polished individually, and there are no accent stones to compete with them. That makes this the harder of the two vine settings to execute well: with no sparkle to distract the eye, an uneven leaf or a soft edge shows immediately. It is also the quieter of the two on the hand, and the one that reads as jewelry rather than as an engagement ring.

Every stone we set is a lab-grown diamond — the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behavior as a mined diamond, grown rather than extracted. Center stones of 1 carat and above ship with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, color and clarity. Common questions

Why choose the version without accents?
Because the vine is the point. Set stones between the leaves and the eye reads diamonds; leave it plain and the eye reads metalwork. It is a different ring, not a cheaper one.

How does it wear over time?
The high points of the leaves polish brighter with wear and the recesses darken slightly. Most people find it improves; it can be re-polished if you prefer it uniform.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
Yes. Every center stone of 1 carat and above ships with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, color and clarity. Accent and pave stones are matched to the same color and clarity range but are not individually certified.
