A heart ringed by a continuous line of small diamonds, on a band set with more. The only ring in this group where the accents are doing as much work as the center stone.

The setting

The heart sits point-down in claws, surrounded by a full halo of round accents that follows the lobes and the point exactly - a halo on a heart is significantly harder to execute than on a round, because it has to turn two convex curves and one sharp angle without a break in the spacing. The band carries bead-set pave from the halo down to roughly halfway around. Accent weight runs about 0.35ct. The halo also does something practical: it protects the point of the heart, which is where the cut is most vulnerable.

Common questions

Does the halo make the stone look bigger?
Yes - noticeably. A halo typically adds the visual footprint of about half a carat. It also lets a slightly lower color grade look whiter, because the small stones frame and brighten the center.

How hard is a heart shape to get right?
Harder than most. The two lobes have to match and the cleft has to be crisp, or the stone reads lopsided from a distance. We check symmetry on every heart before we set it.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
