The band is cut with two grooves running all the way round, so it reads as three joined ribs, with a bezelled heart sitting across the front.

The setting

A heart is rub-over set east-west into the face of a substantial band whose outer surface is turned with two parallel channels, leaving three polished ribs. The grooves do something useful as well as decorative: they break up a wide expanse of gold into lines, so the band looks slimmer on the finger than its actual width. The heart sits low in a close bezel with the cleft left clear. There is room inside the shank for an engraving, which is what most people do with a band this wide.

Can I have it engraved inside?
Yes — there is plenty of room on a band this wide. Send us the text after ordering and we engrave it before shipping, at no extra cost.

Do the grooves collect dirt?
They are wide and shallow rather than fine, so they wipe clean with a cloth. Nothing like pave.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
