No pave anywhere. A 1.5 carat marquise, a V-shaped shank, and a second V in polished gold beneath it — the entire set is one stone and two lines. If you have been looking at rings and quietly thinking they all have too much going on, this is the corrective.

The ring

The 1.5ct marquise sits north-south, roughly 13mm along the finger, held in six claws with a V-claw over the top point. The shank angles into a sharp chevron that meets beneath the stone, so the diamond reads as suspended in the opening. Every surface is high-polish solid gold — with no stones on the band, the finish is doing all the work, which is why we do not offer this one in a matte or brushed option.

The band

The matching band is the same chevron in plain gold, cut to nest exactly under the ring's V. It sits flush with no gap. Worn without the engagement ring it reads as a clean modern wishbone, which makes it a reasonable everyday ring in its own right.

About our lab-grown diamonds

Every stone we set is a lab-grown diamond — the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond, grown rather than extracted. Centre stones of 1 carat and above ship with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, colour and clarity. Melee and pave stones are matched to the same colour and clarity range but are not individually certified.

Common questions

Are there any diamonds on the band?
No. This set is deliberately stone-free apart from the 1.5ct center. If you want diamonds on the band, CDTBS008 is the same family with a 0.30ct pave chevron included.

Will a plain band scratch more visibly than a pave one?
Gold picks up fine surface scratches either way — a plain polished band shows them a little more because there is more uninterrupted surface. It polishes back to new easily; we can do it free within the first year.

Does the plain band sit flush?
Yes. It is cut to the same chevron angle as the engagement ring, so there is no gap at the point.

Which gold karat should I pick for a plain band?
14K is the usual choice — harder than 18K, so it holds a polish longer, with better colour than 10K. 18K is richer in tone and a little softer; 10K is the most scratch-resistant and the most affordable.

Is a 1.5ct marquise certified?
Yes. IGI certification is included on every center stone of 1 carat and above.
