Three step cuts in a row — an emerald between two tapered baguettes — held in a frame with squared, stepped corners. The most deliberately architectural ring in this group.

The setting

The emerald cut sits lengthwise in a frame whose corners step outward rather than curving, with a tapered baguette set flush at each end pointing away from the center. Accents total about 0.30ct. Every stone here is a step cut: long flat facets, no brilliance, all reflection and line. That makes the ring unusually calm on the hand and unusually demanding of the stones — there is no sparkle anywhere to disguise an inclusion or a warm tint. Choose F color and VS1 or better and it is one of the best-looking rings in the collection; go lower and it is the first one where you will see it.

Common questions

Why baguettes rather than round side stones?
Because they match. Putting brilliant-cut rounds beside an emerald cut sets two different kinds of light against each other. Baguettes are step cuts too, so the three stones read as one object.

Is this an art deco design?
It borrows the language — stepped corners, step cuts, strict symmetry — without copying a period piece. It is our own drawing, made now.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The setting, yes — those are photographs of this setting made in our workshop. The diamond in them is one specific stone, so a different center stone will not look identical: a heavier one covers more of the finger and sits slightly higher. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.
