Twisting vines cross each other at the shoulders, carrying small green emeralds like buds and a single white marquise diamond on each side like a leaf. At the center is a 2 ct Dutch marquise in leaf-shaped claws.

The setting

Six claws, one on each point and two on each side, are shaped as leaves so the head grows out of the vine instead of sitting on top of it, and the gallery repeats the vine in profile. The band is about 1.8mm, plain and round at the back, and only becomes branches toward the head, where about three or four emerald rounds per side are scattered along the stems. The emeralds add color at the edges without competing with the colorless center. Emerald is softer than diamond, which is the trade-off for its green. The Dutch marquise, with extra facets at each end, is not offered in the diamond selector; it is an unusual cut chosen to fit this mounting.

Common questions

How should I care for the green emeralds?
Emerald is softer than diamond and more sensitive to heat and harsh chemicals. Clean the ring with lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft brush, skip ultrasonic and steam cleaners, and take it off for chores involving bleach or abrasives.

Will the crossing vines sit flush with a wedding band?
Not exactly. The vines and leaves rise above the band at the shoulders, so a straight band leaves small gaps there. A thin band, or a contoured one shaped around the vine, gives a closer fit.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
The design, the cut and the carat weight, yes. Individual stones vary slightly, and colored stones in particular read differently under daylight and warm indoor light. We photograph your finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Is the center stone certified?
Yes. Every center stone of 1 carat and above ships with an IGI certificate stating carat, cut, color and clarity. Accent and pave stones are matched to the same color and clarity range but are not individually certified.
