Fifteen baguettes stood on end and packed shoulder to shoulder, so what you see from above is a continuous ribbon of rectangles with almost no gold between them. The band beneath dips into a shallow V, and the row follows it.

The band

Standing baguettes upright and sharing claws between them is the tightest way to lay a step cut, and the least forgiving — the long sides of two neighboring stones have to be parallel or the gap between them tapers and the eye catches it instantly. Following a V makes that harder, because the angle changes across the run. Fifteen stones, 0.85 carats, and the top plane stays flat the whole way.

Common questions

How is this different from the bar-set baguette band?
That one lays the stones across the finger with a gold bar between each; this one stands them on end with no metal showing between. That reads as rhythm, this reads as a solid ribbon. Different bands entirely, same cut.

Can the V be made shallower or deeper?
The V is cast to a fixed angle and the fifteen seats are cut to match it, so no. If you need a specific angle to nest against an existing ring, send us a photograph before ordering and we will tell you honestly whether this one fits.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a small calibrated stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
