One diamond. Set flush into the face of a flat satin band, standing upright, with no bezel, no claws and no outline — just a white rectangle let into brushed gold. It is the most restrained ring in this collection and the one most likely to be worn by someone who did not think they wanted a diamond.

The band

Flush-setting a baguette is harder than flush-setting a round, because a rectangle has four straight walls and four corners that all have to be cut exactly and burnished evenly — any wobble shows immediately against the straight edges of the stone. Done properly you get what is here: a clean rectangle of light and no metal outline. The face is finished satin so the diamond is the only bright thing on the ring; the edges are polished, which draws two fine lines along the band.

Every stone in this band is a lab-grown diamond — the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behavior as a mined diamond, grown rather than extracted. The stones are matched to one another for color and clarity across the whole ring and certified as a set rather than individually, which is standard for calibrated stones of this size.

Common questions

Is one small diamond worth it on a band this plain?
That depends on what you want from the ring. If you want visible diamonds, no — buy one of the pave bands instead. This one is for someone who wants a plain band with one deliberate detail in it, and at arm's length it reads as a plain band. We would rather you knew that before ordering.

Would this work as a men's band?
It is one of the two or three in this collection that regularly sells that way. At 3mm flat with a satin face it is neutral in shape, and the single flush stone adds nothing that catches. We can make it wider — 4mm or 5mm — at no extra design cost; just ask.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a 0.10ct melee stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
