Thirty-four baguettes standing shoulder to shoulder in a channel, running the entire circumference, with a raised gold rail on each side holding them in. Look at the ring from inside and you see the whole run again through a pierced gallery — the channel is open underneath, so the stones are lit from both directions.

The band

Piercing the gallery is what separates this from an ordinary channel band. A closed channel puts a solid floor under each stone and the diamonds go dull; opening it lets light in from below, and with a step cut that difference is dramatic, because an emerald or baguette relies on light passing through rather than bouncing off. The two rails are polished and stand slightly proud, which frames the run and protects the stones' top edges. 0.98 carats.

Every stone in this band is a lab-grown diamond — the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behavior as a mined diamond, grown rather than extracted. Common questions

Does an open gallery collect dirt?
Less than a closed channel, which is the counterintuitive part — a closed channel traps everything under the stones with no way out. This one rinses clean. Warm water, dish soap, soft brush from both sides.

Can it be resized?
Barely. Baguettes run the full circumference with no plain section, and the channel rails have to stay continuous. This is a band to order in exactly the right size — we will send you a free plastic sizer and we would rather you used it.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a 0.10ct melee stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
