One tapered baguette, laid across the finger and gripped only at its two ends, with both long edges completely open. Nothing frames it and nothing sits under it — the stone is the ring. There is a second diamond, but it is flush-set into the back of the band where only you will ever see it.

The band

Holding a baguette at the ends alone is what makes the design: the long open edges mean light enters the stone from the sides, and a step cut lit from the side flashes rather than sparkles. The taper means the bar is wider at one end than the other, so the ring has a direction — worn with the wide end outward it reads as pointing off the hand. The hidden round at the back is the kind of detail people find weeks later. Two stones, 0.33 carats.

Common questions

Is a bar setting secure enough for one stone?
For a baguette, yes — the ends are the strongest part of a step cut and the bars wrap them completely. It is a far better arrangement than four claws pinching the corners, which is where baguettes usually chip.

What is the diamond on the inside for?
No reason beyond wanting it there. It sits against the finger, invisible when worn, and it is the detail most people mention when they first put the ring on. We can leave it out if you would rather, though nobody has asked.

Do the photographs show the exact ring I will receive?
Very nearly. This is a finished band made to a fixed specification, not a setting built around a stone you choose, so the ring in these photographs and the ring you receive are the same design at the same weight. We photograph every finished ring and send you those images before it ships.

Are the diamonds certified?
As a set, yes. Calibrated stones of this size are not individually certified — nobody grades a 0.10ct melee stone on its own paper — so we supply a certificate covering the total carat weight and the matched color and clarity range for the whole band.
